Sunday News

Today has been a good day. Started off with church. Always a good way to start your day. We are talking about the two paths in life. One is to follow God's word which leads us to an eternal life in heaven, or we choose the other, to follow Satan, and a life in darkness, and hell.
Following the Lord is not always easy, and it doesn't mean we won't make mistakes, or bad choices, but it means we can have forgiveness, and hope.
We need to make it a daily choice of spending time in God's word. The more we read it and meditate on it, the more we use it in our lives. We used an acronym for the kids today called
M.E.A.L.S.
This means:

M=Meditate on God's Word
E=Examine God's Word
A=Apply God's Word to your life
L=Live out God's Word
S=Share God's Word
We are going to be working through Pslam 119. The longest chapter in the Bible. Lot's of good advice for us. Check it out for yourself. The Bible Verse is also Joshua 1:8 if you want to check it out too.
I was also approached by one of the children about our offerings and if we good do offerings for Hatti. I was so excited as I had planned on talking to them about that myself..It is so amazing to see God working in their hearts.
I am thinking about a Spagetti Feed to raise money for Hatti....I will keep you posted. Well I hope every one is have a great day today.

Eye Opener for Us

Today started out pretty sad for me. I watched too much news on Hatti. I just couldn't take any more. Watching the pain and suffering of all those people, the struggle to survive. The everyday things we have so readily available to us, such as food, water, and medical care.

What if that happened here. How prepared are you? How prepared am I. It's worth thinking about.

I know I don't have money to send, so the best I can do is to continue to pray for the people of Hattie and for all those who are coming together to make a difference.

Snow, Snow, Snow

I sure have been enjoying the snow. I actually went out and took some pictures this morning. It was so beautiful to see the sunlight highlighting the trees. Allen and I even took our granddaughter sledding. She had a blast. Her favorite thing to say " again appy". She really enjoyed eating the snow and wanted to share it with ammy and appy. She is such a joy in our life. I really look forward to our grand babies to be...

I have not been feeling to great. Fighting a bug for the last couple of weeks. Believe it or not I don't even have my Christmas tree decorated. Maybe tomorrow night. That's bad for me. I did get my yard done for the most part. Thanks to the help of my elves, Allen, Celeste, Joe, Seth, and Sharie, Chelsea for carrying up the figurines.
Allen and I did a little Christmas shopping today. It was nice to get out of the house. I almost have everything wrapped.

Well I hope everyone is doing ok with this cold weather. Please take care and be safe.
Blessings,
Candy

Winter Wonderland

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.

As you look out you window, think of God and how he takes away our sins. and makes us as white as snow. Doesn't it make you feel refreshed knowing what God has done for each of us. Taking away all our imperfections, all our faults, all our selfishness, and makes us white as snow. What and awesome God we have.
Blessings,
Candy
